Submission deadline & Payment for Poster presentations: 21 April 2017
You are invited to contribute to the Scientific Program by submitting your abstract proposal for presentation to the A.P.P.A.C. Secretariat.
All accepted abstracts of registered participants, will be published in the abstract book, which will be distributed at the Conference and the ‘A.P.P.A.C. Archives’ journal (almost 6,500 doctors subscribers).
Authors who wish to publish their study in the ‘A.P.P.A.C. Archives’ journal, should send an email to the Scientific Committee of the journal and follow the instructions outlined in the <Publications-Submit your article> section of our website.
Authors who wish to submit more than one abstract should fill out a separate submission form for each abstract. For each presentation, at least one of the authors must register and make payment for the Conference as soon as possible.
Abstracts will be reviewed by a panel of experts and selected on the basis of merit for oral announcement, keynote lecture, or poster presentation. The time allotted for each oral presentation will depend on the session to which the abstract is allocated.
Notification of acceptance or rejection by the Scientific Committee will be e-mailed to the corresponding author within 2 weeks. In case of not receiving such an email, please contact the A.P.P.A.C. Secretariat.
VISUAL EQUIPMENT: All meeting halls are equipped with slide, overhead and data projectors as well as laptops for speaker needs. Presenters are kindly requested to check and deliver their presentation to the visual reception secretariat at least one (1) hour before scheduled presentation.
POSTERS: Poster board dimensions (including frames) are 150cm width x 200cm height. To ensure good legibility of your poster, we recommend a maximum size of 90cm width and 160cm height. Pins and tape for fastening the posters will be available in the poster area and the secretariat desk.
GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION: Please download and complete the abstract submission form and submit it along with your abstract (attached as a separate Word document .doc) via e-mail to the A.P.P.A.C. Secretariat (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The official languages of the Conference are English and Greek.The abstract should not exceed 200 words and should be written in 12 cpi Times New Roman.
The abstract should have the following form:
1. Presentation type preference (poster/oral presentation/symposium/workshop).
2. Abstract title: In CAPITAL letters. No more than 20 words.
3. Authors’ names: The name of the presenting author underlined.
4. Authors’ title(s) and Profession: Student, Professor, Director, etc.
5. Affiliation details of all authors: Position, department, institution/hospital/organisation, private practice. City and COUNTRY (country in CAPITALS).
6. Abstract sections: Introduction and Aims/Methods/Results/Discussion.
Abstracts should contain text only – graphs and pictures cannot be inserted and will not be printed. Please avoid boldfacing, italics and underlining in the text. Also, please do not include page numbers, references and footnotes in the abstract.
Drug products should be identified by their non-proprietary names only. Trade names are not allowed - this does not apply for sponsored symposia by pharmaceutical companies.
